About the Author
Automotive historian and writer Mark Trotta has been studying cars, trucks, and motorcycles for over 30 years. A car-guy his entire life, Mark spent his youth building plastic car models, racing slot cars, and taking bicycles apart. Born and raised on Long Island, he visited every racetrack in driving distance, including Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen, National Speedway, and Freeport Speedway. After a few years of college, Mark enrolled in vocational school and studied welding and auto body repair. Many of his restoration projects can be seen on Restore-An-Old-Car.com.
Like many good ideas, Classic-Car-History was conceived out of frustration. In 2010, while trying to find information on one of his project vehicles, Mark noticed a lack of quality, historically-correct classic car sites, prompting him to start his own. Classic-Car-History strives to be the best car history site on the web. C-C-H viewers are encouraged to send in their own original articles and photographs - many have already done so.
